NewsLives
Watching 331 channels · 93 countries
Every news channel is live.
That’s why live tells you nothing.
NewsLives watches 331 newsrooms around the clock and tells you the moment one starts covering something moving. Free, in your browser, no account.
Live figures from the broadcasters’ own streams. Not a screenshot.
A channel doesn’t go live. It gets busy.
So NewsLives doesn’t watch for a broadcast starting. It watches the audience, against each channel’s own baseline.
Signal
The broadcaster says so
A stream retitled to “Breaking”, “Special report” or “Urgent” is the clearest signal there is.
Signal
Or the audience says so
Viewers past 2.5× the channel’s own moving average, and past an absolute floor — so a quiet channel doubling from forty viewers is not news.
Release
Then it lets go
The flag clears after three consecutive quiet checks, or ninety minutes, whichever comes first.
What it doesn’t do.
Never
Write the news
Not a word of it. Every channel is the broadcaster’s own official stream, played through their own player. 331 newsrooms, and not one of them ours.
Never
Rank by viewpoint
Order is: breaking first, then your own country and language, then live audience. Nothing else goes into it.
